Directly Compressible (DC) products
Drug formulations produced by the direct compression process are referred to as pharmaceutical directly compressible products (DC). By compressing a combination of excipients and active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs) into tablets without further processing stages like granulation or wetting, this technique creates tablets. Due to their affordability and simplicity, DC products are well-liked in the pharmaceutical sector. Improved tablet homogeneity, shortened production times, and potential cost savings are some benefits of direct compression. Direct compression is not, however, appropriate for all medicinal ingredients and excipients, and formulation issues might occur. Among these obstacles are those with powder flowability, granulation, compression, API/excipient compatibility, blend homogeneity, and others. We are able to address these issues through appropriate process design, equipment selection, formulation optimization, and stringent quality control measures to ensure the production of high-quality DC products thanks to strong support from the R&D and QA departments in Behansar. Depending on the therapeutic area, intended usage, and unique requirements of a given product, we also work with our customers to meet their expectations on special formulation concerns.
