About Calcium Glycinate
Calcium glycinate consists of calcium bound to glycine. It presently regarded as the most bioavailable and most soluble form of supplemental Calcium. It is 1.8 times (180%) better absorbed than Calcium Citrate and is 21% better absorbed than Calcium Citrate Malate.
Calcium (Ca2+) plays a pivotal role in the physiology and biochemistry of organisms and the cell. It plays an important role in signal transduction pathways, where it acts as a second messenger, in neurotransmitter release from neurons, contraction of all muscle cell types, and fertilization. Many enzymes require calcium ions as a cofactor, those of the blood-clotting cascade being notable examples. Extracellular calcium is also important for maintaining the potential difference across excitable cell membranes, as well as proper bone formation.
Calcium is one of the most important minerals and is essential for building and maintaining healthy bones. Calcium is also essential for proper functioning of the brain, heart and muscles.
Calcium glycinate is used as buffering agent in food industry and as an essential ingredient in skin conditioners.Product Number | Product Name | Form | Pharmacopoeia | Solvency | Storage conditions | Color | Purity | Additional information |
